Calculator FAQ

How much sod do I need?
Measure each area of your yard (length × width for rectangles), add them together, then add about 15% extra for cuts and odd-shaped sections. Our calculator does this for you automatically.
Why add 15% extra sod?
The extra 15% covers waste from cutting pieces to fit around curves, curbs, and landscape beds — so you don't run short partway through the job.
How many square feet are on a pallet of sod?
It varies by farm and cut, but a standard pallet covers roughly 450 square feet. We'll confirm the exact pallet coverage and count when we send your quote.
